Wow! It’s now AUGUST. Can you believe it?
We told you in the beginning of the year what we HOPED to accomplish. We are very proud of this little company, so here is an update.
We wrote to you previously – “Albert Einstein was once quoted as saying “Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius – and a lot of courage – to move in the opposite direction.”
On March 2nd, 2010 – we sponsored a VHI Save the Music Campaign. Okay. So, big deal? Yeah! We at Road Rage Jewelry know that life can’t just be about the 9 to 5. Art, in any form, is a gift. We personally believe and give credit to God for those gifted, imaginative people. To find and support young artists whether it is in music, acting, painting, and graphic artistry and even cosplay actors – it doesn’t matter. When you see beauty trying to express itself, support it however you can. A simple “encore-encore” tells that artist that you appreciate the thought; the time; the love of that art that they have painstakingly brought out into the public eye for you to see. The baring of their souls if you will.
On March 25th Road Rage Jewelry was able to help sponsor Jeans Bring Dreams. That was (is) a traveling concert series empowering young people to stop bullying. If anyone reading this that has not is a victim of bullying - please step up.
On April 16th – we again, helped to sponsor “To Write Love on her Arms.” (TWLOHA) A fabulous group bringing awareness to depression and suicide amongst our young people. Please see the link for that on our “As Seen page”, and do what you can to help support this band.
On July 21st, we helped sponsor a “Big Kids Care.” A public program to educate and bring awareness to problems faced by at-risk youths every day.
On August 12th, we are heading out to Hollywood. We are a proud tier sponsor of an indie movie (our second!) and this up-and-coming young director has our attention. Dallas King. Check out his latest – “Little Soldier” on our Seen Here Page. “Heartwarming” to say the least. We, at Road Rage Jewelry, have no doubt that this director will be a force to be dealt with. He was the genius director for the PSA of Big Kids Care.
So that is what we have been up to in our quest to give back.
